Britney Spears Gets Visitation Rights — Whether She Wants Them or Not

After a three-hour hearing — at which Britney Spears did not show (even though it was recommended) and Kevin Federline did — a court has ruled that Kevin will retain custody of the boys for now, while Britney gets monitored visitation rights.
Some are saying Britney plans to enter rehab on Saturday. Others say that’s a bunch of bull. Who the hell knows what her next move will be? My money’s on shaving her privates in front of a paparazzo in the Quizno’s ladies’ room.
Anyone else care to venture a guess?
Oh! TMZ also reports that Britney just checked into the Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotel. Why? Again, who the hell knows. BUT… it just so happens I’m meeting a friend there for drinks tomorrow afternoon. Coincidence? I think not! It is destiny that I, Candy, have a heart-to-heart with Britney and talk some sense into that extension-covered head of hers. I just hope I stay strong and don’t get lured into her seedy world of crystal meth and morphine lollipops. If pictures of Britney in a pool with a “mystery blogger” surface … well, let me just say in advance: the lollipops made me do it!

Jive Records issued some bogus pass the buck statement about Britney…one which seemingly blamed the public and the press for her problems??? However, instead of taking the stance of enablers, her record company should go on the record as saying this:
“Britney Spears is clearly dealing with very intimate and disturbing personal issues…which have interfered with her ability to properly promote her new album. As a result, we at Jive Records have choosen to indefinately suspend the release of Ms. Spears’ new album…in order to allow her to receive proper health counseling for her personal issues —which we have encouraged…and insist she pursue…if our relationship is to continue. As always, the health of our employees and artists comes before profit–hence, we have taken this stance…as a pre-emptive and substantive intervention to assists Ms. Spears in this most important goal. As a member of the Jive Records corporate family, we consider Britney’s well being paramount–hence, we are issuing this statement…as a declaration of support, compassion and understanding…at this most difficult time, in her life. That said…we must make it clear, although we support Britney Spears, if we failed to take these strong measures to assure her continued well being…we would be remise, in failing to properly assist one of our artists at a time of crisis.” –Jive Records
That should have been Jive Records’ statement. Sadly…it was not!!!

Zip — I guess Jive records is in a peculiar position. They have an well known artist with a top ten single, getting stacks of free publicity (bad, but what the heck). On the other hand, she can’t be relied upon to do anything, and is probably too screwed up/wrapped up in personal problems/etc. to do any promotion or touring in support of her upcoming album. What to do? Stand back a ways, and try not to be hit by the shrapnel, I guess…

To: The Joker…I just want Jive Records to stop playing the role of enabler. And by not reaching out to Britney and requesting that she enter a serious rehab program…that is exactly what they are doing–being enablers.
To: Ms. Parker…I was just joking about the fish taco. I wouldn’t touch Britney’s taco at this point…and I would advise others to stay clear of it too, including Candy. Considering how Britney reportedly gets around these days, and with whom she has been rumored to have been getting around with…I wouldn’t be surprised if Britney is depressed about more than we know…like maybe a very serious STD…the kind that is life threatening. Just a guess…but clearly something more is going on here than meets my cockeyed optimism…thus making me not so optimistic.
