Stars Celebrate A Fine Romance (No, Not Pam Anderson & Rick Salomon)
October 21, 2007 | Pop Culture
While I spent my Saturday night pretending to laugh at bad comics at the Comedy Store (although they seemed to get funnier after my second SoCo and lime), Catherine Zeta-Jones and hubby Michael Douglas spent their night supporting “A Fine Romance,” a benefit for the Motion Picture & Television Fund that Catherine co-hosted with Hugh Jackman. The event celebrated the relationship between Hollywood and Broadway, featuring performances of songs from movies that became Broadway musicals and Broadway musicals that have become movies (follow that?).
Michael Douglas reminisced about starring in the big-screen version of the Broadway show, A Chorus Line — which was the same year that Catherine starred in HER kindergarten chorus! Awwww. Talk about destiny.
