Brain Candy: Halloween Edition

October 31, 2008 | Daily News Roundup

Halloween is my Christmas, so I’m ending my posting a little early today to focus on very important business matters, like preparing Candy’s Special Halloween Sangria.  My honey and I are dressing up in (what we thought were) matching costumes:  me, as Marie Antoinette and him, as bread.  Get it?  No…?  Don’t worry; no on else freakin’ gets it either.  The response I recently got from a table full of relatives:  *BLANK STARE*   Oh, well.  Candy’s Special Sangria will make everything better.

So we have a few friends coming over to kick off the Halloween festivities, then we’re stumbling making our way down Santa Monica Boulevard to the West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval, which is always something to behold.  Slutty cheerleaders and Dorothys galore.   And that’s just the boys!

If you wear a fun pop culture-inspired costume this Halloween, be sure to e-mail them to me so I can share them with the rest of the gang.

Happy Halloween!

Marie Antoinette and bread/brioche is just about the best costume pair ever, Candy. Happy Halloween!

I think more people would have understood it if he dressed up as cake.
But it still sounds like a good costume pairing.
It’s a bit of a shame that Halloween isn’t that big in Aus. Not like I need an excuse to eat lollies, though :)
