A Thanksgiving Message

Happy Thanksgiving, my fellow Americans!  This is a very special holiday that we spend with dear family members, and give thanks that we do not have to live with them.  Of course, Thanksgiving is so much more than that; it’s also a spiritual time of introspection — a time to pause and remember where we stored the Pepto Bismol.

In this appreciative spirit of the holiday, please join me in giving thanks for a few other blessings:

Elastic waistbands on Thanksgiving

That we are not turkeys

That we do not live in 1977

   I always think Thanksgiving is the best holiday. No obligatory presents required. Good food that people don’t usually prepare the rest of the year.

   And, any belief system can accomodate the idea of a day of thanks.

   So Happy Thanksgiving Candy, and all Holy Rollers and Candy Fans.
